Sadaf Farasat

Noreen’s artworks are inspired by the Arabic Language. Her “Alif” series artworks highlight the importance of Alif, the first letter of the Arabic alphabet, concept of oneness, the first existence, the beginning of all things and is symbolic of God’s absolute oneness. The shape of Alif resembles the numeral 1 reinforcing the concept of God’s unity and the concept of ‘the one’. Noreen uses letters from the Arabic alphabet in abstract form and each of her series isolates and highlights one particular alphabet.

Wardah is a charcoal portrait artist whose works are deeply rooted in emotion, storytelling and human connection. She began exploring charcoal as a medium and developed a passion for its depth, texture and the ability to capture raw human expressions. Her artworks focus on emotionally driven portraits capturing the depth of old age, meaningful moments, experiences of a life gone by and untold stories.

Samra is a talented calligraphy artist from Abbottabad, Pakistan. Her artworks depict a perfect harmony between nature and calligraphy. Different mediums allow her to express different ideas. The continuity of the letters in her artworks demonstrate a perfect rhythm that exists in traditional calligraphy blended with letters that a broken, distorted , reformed and recreated . The vibrancy of the colors on the surface blend with the calligraphy in perfect harmony and by looking at her artworks one can almost listen to the words

Rind’s artworks illustrate female forms in a classical setting with traditional attire and ornaments. These classic symbols are often paired with Urdu poetry by the great masters Mirza Ghalib, Faiz Ahmed Faiz and Alama Iqbal. Moving seamlessly between acrylic on paper, oil on canvas and ink on paper the artist demonstrates enhanced understanding of line, form and color.
